COURSE DESCRIPTION

About this course

The Georgian Language course is designed for foreign students who speak English or Russian. The course consists of 4 levels and includes both individual and group learning. The learning process takes place in a question-and-answer mode, using easy, fun and interactive methods that allow students to master the Georgian language in modern and simple ways. The student is not required to be at a specific level, the teachers of our center can teach spoken Georgian to any level student. For those students who have already improved their speaking skills, we can offer a special course depending on their desire.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The goal of course is increasing and developing the basic knowledge of the listener according to the levels. Also, our goal is to improve their writing, reading, listening and speaking skills. The program includes grammatical issues that the listener needs for speaking. The center offers students to learn all studying materials directly at the lesson and use them in practice.

What level of Georgian do I need to join the Spoken Georgian Language Course?

You can start learning Georgian from a basic level. No prior knowledge is required.

Can I take only 1 level of the Georgian language course?

Yes, of course! You can take as many levels of the Georgian language course as you wish.

What textbooks do you use during the course?

The Georgian language course is a special course made by the SpeakUp team.  We also use a program that is time-tested and adapted to foreign-language students who can speak English or Russian. The topics given in the programs are easy to understand and oriented to start speaking Georgian in the shortest possible time.

Are the textbooks used in the course free or priced?

If you decide to study online and do not want to buy the book, we will provide you with the PDF version completely free of charge. Book price depends on the course level and on average it costs 20-30 GEL

Do I have to pay in advance when registering for the course?

No, of course. You only pay after we have jointly agreed on a study schedule and you have finally agreed to start studying according to the agreed schedule.

How do I pay?

For international money transfer we use WISE.com

Before making a decision, can I attend a trial lesson?

Yes, of course. Attending a trial lesson takes place after an individual interview, as we need to determine your level of knowledge and offer you a group of the appropriate level. Please note that the lesson is paid and costs 40 USD. In case you decide to start studying, the amount paid will be deducted from the tuition fee.

Will I get a certificate after completing the course?

Yes, of course. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of each level based on your test result, confirming your level of proficiency in Georgian.

I am a foreign citizen (or immigrant). Can I study online?

Yes, of course! We have students from many countries. After registration we will contact you shortly and provide all the information about the course schedules and other details.

Can you provide me with the documents required for a visa?

Only the documents we can provide with you: 1 - Invitation letter; 2 - Acceptance letter; 3 - Official course enrolment document; 4 - Embassy letter.

In addition to the 4 documents mentioned above, we can not provide additional documentation for visa preparation.

Does the learning center provide accommodation for foreign students?

SpeakUp - Foreign Language Center does not provide accommodation for international students. However, before arriving in Georgia, we can provide you with recommendations for nearby hotels and help you to book a suitable option.

Can I trust agents who sell your courses abroad under your brand name?

You cannot always trust reseller agents for your safety. We recommend you to check the information with us.

Advance booking and refund policy

You can book the course in advance, max. 3 (three) month earlier or min. 1 (one) month earlier until the start date.

 

    1. In case of 3 month earlier booking 50% (fifty) of full course price pre-payment is must and non refundable if you cancel the course less than 1 (one) month until the course start date. In other case only 20% (twenty) from the paid amount will be refunded during  30 (thirty) business days.
    2. In case of 1 (one) month earlier booking 100% (one hundred) of full course price pre-payment is must and non refundable.
